Banana Cutlets Recipe | Rakhi Special Sweets Recipe

Ingredients

  • Six Raw bananas
  • ¼ cup of boiled fresh peas
  • ¼ cup of beet root, (Note : boiled & finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 4 to 5 pieces of finely chopped green chillies
  • 1 piece of ginger grated(optional)
  • ½ tsp of mustard
  • ½ tsp of cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp of asafetida
  • ½ tsp of turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp of Amchur
  • Cooking oil to deep fry
  • 1½ cups Breadcrumbs
  • salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Put the whole bananas with skins in a bowl and Steam them till they become soft

Step 2

Later remove the banana skins. Mash them while still hot & keep them aside.

Step 3

Now put pan on the stove add 2 tbsp of cooking oil and heat it.

Step 4

Now add all seeds, allow to splutter later add asafoetida, mint leaves, coriander leaves, chillies, ginger, amchur, peas and beet root.

Step 5

Mix the mixture well with the mashed bananas. Add salt to taste & other spices as well.

Step 6

Heat the cooking oil in a pan. Shape the cutlets with the mixture, roll them in the breadcrumbs & deep fry till the golden brown color come out.

Step 7

finally drain the banana cutlets & serve hot with green chutney or tamarind chutney or tomato ketchup.
