Bobbatlu Recipe Andhra Style | Bobbatlu Recipe In English | Bobbatlu Recipe With Sugar

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Bengal gram ( Chana Dal) (soaked in water for one hour later drained)
  • 1¼ cups of wheat flour ( Maida )
  • 3 to 4 Table spoo of cooking Oil
  • Sugar as needed
  • 3 to 4 tbsp of cooking Oil
  • 1 tbsp of Ghee
  • Pinch of Salt
  • water

Method

Step 1

In a pressure cooker add cup of water and cook channa dal (Bengal gram) till the dal becomes soft.

Step 2

Later put the dal in mixture grinder and grind till it reaches to a fine paste.

Step 3

Now take a cooking vessel and add the prepared dal paste and sugar then cook the mixture till it blend and form a thick lump like paste with no moisture left in it.

Step 4

Note: Stir the mixture continuously for some time . so that mixture will not burn.

Step 5

Later add cardamom powder and salt to taste and mix it well.

Step 6

Later allow the mixture cool it for some time and prepare small lemon sized balls for stuffing. Keep aside.

Step 7

Now take a mixing bow and add maida powder, pinch of salt, cooking oil and some little water and combine it well to make a very soft and sticky dough like poori dough. Knead well and keep aside for 1 or 2 hours.

Step 8

Now grease your hand with cooking oil or ghee and pinch a small portion of prepared dough and flatten it into a disc.

Step 9

After that Place a ball of channa dal stuffing in the center and draw the edges of the dough from all sides to cover the stuffing completely.

Step 10

Now take a plastic sheet on the top that sheet gently flatten each ball carefully with your hand fingers to form a diamater flat circular roti.

Step 11

After that put the pan on the stove and heat with some oil and fry these roti’s on a low flame till roti turns brown in color. Smear oil over the bobbatu while frying.

Step 12

Serve Bobbatlu warm with pure ghee. Store them in an air tight container.
