Red Chilli Chicken Dry Recipe

Ingredients

  • Chicken (Boneless - కోడి ఎముకలు లేనిది ) - ½ kg
  • Dry red chillies (ఎండు మిరపకాయల పౌడర్ ) - 12 Nos
  • Gram flour / Corn flour (మొక్కజొన్న పిండి) 6 tbsps
  • Ginger (అల్లము) - 2 Inch piece
  • Garlic (వెల్లుల్లి) - 10 Cloves
  • Shallot (ష్యాలట్) - 15 Nos
  • Curry leaves (కరివేప ఆకు) - 2 Sprigs
  • Lemon juice (నిమ్మరసం) - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder (కారం) - 1¼ tbsps
  • Turmeric powder (పసుపు) - 1 Pinch
  • Cooking oil (వంట నూనె) - to deep fry
  • Salt ఉప్పు) – To taste

Method

Step 1

Wash & clean the chicken & Cut it (length wise) into a small pieces.

Step 2

Grind ginger (1 inch piece), garlic (5 cloves), curry leaves (1 sprig), lemon juice, salt & 1 tbsp of chilli powder & make it to a fine paste.

Step 3

Add the past to the chicken pieces & Marinate it for minimum of 30 minutes.

Step 4

Cut the remaining garlic, ginger & shallots.

Step 5

Add gram / corn flour into the marinated chicken pieces & mix it well by adding 4 tbsp of water.

Step 6

Heat cooking oil in a pan & deep fry the chicken pieces (till it turns brown). Keep it aside.

Step 7

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Put broken dry red chillies (reduce the flame) & stir till it turns dark brown. add garlic, ginger, shallots, curry leaves & salt into it & saute till it turns golden brown color.

Step 8

Put ¼ tbsps of chilli powder & mix it well. Now, add the fried chicken into it & combine well.

Step 9

Remove from the flame and transfer to the serving dish.

Tip:

Serve with a dollop of mayonnaise.
