Lemon Rice | Chitranna | Nimmakaya Pulihora

India’s most favourite food i.e. Lemon Rice, Chitranna, Nimmakaya Pulihora

 

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup rise
  • 1 Big Lemon
  • 6-7 Green chillies, cleave
  • 1-3 Red chillies(optional)
  • 2-4 Table spoon chopped coriander leaves
  • A sprig of Curry leaves
  • 2-4 Table spoon Cashews,broken
  • 2-4 Table spoon Groundnuts
  • ¼ Tea spoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 Table spoon Chana dal
  • 1 Tea spoon Urad dal
  • ½ Tea spoon Mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-4 table spoon Refined Oil

Method

Step 1

Take Pressure cooker add 1 cup of rice and 2¼ cups of water or how you cook your regular rice until it is soft and fluffy.

Step 2

Squueze the lemon in to a small bowl and separate the lemon seeds and keep it aside.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan and crunch mustard seeds now add ground nuts & fry over medium flame until they turn into golden brown color.

Step 4

Now add chana dal,urad dal, cashew nuts and green chilies and fry until they turn golden brown color & green chillies wilt.

Step 5

Add curry leaves & turmeric powder and mix well and switch off the flame.

Step 6

Now take rice in a wide bowl and add the seasoning to it & add salt as per your taste & mix well until everything is mixed properly.

Step 7

Add squeezed lemon & coriander leaves to it and mix well.
